Parent of the year?

I know we're only 29 days into 2009, but this link to a local Newspaper Paper in my Town has a lady who is making a pretty strong case for Mother of the year. http://seacoastonline.com/articles/20090126-NEWS-90126026

Just another example of why Winter sucks. This is a picture of my friends Durango, he got hit by a Mack Truck on his way to work today. This is exactly why Companies should re-evaluate whether or not to open for a day. Just cause where in New England doesn't mean squat. Sometimes the roads and conditions are just too bad to mess around with. So far all the Weather Reports I have seen have varied from as little as 4 inches of snowfall to as much as 18 inches. Got to love it... Fortunately other then his SUV being totaled the only thing that happened was a good size cut head.

Winter Blues

Another week has passed... Thank God, Seemed like forever. I have never been so set and ready for a weekend to come. Just seemed like everything that could go wrong this week did. Started off Monday getting ready to go to work for the day. I went to grab a glass out of the cabinet for a little juice before work. Well in doing so I knocked another glass out of the cabinet and it fell on my pot of freshly brewed coffee. What a pain in the butt that was having to clean up just before I was getting ready to leave for work for the day. This should have been a sign of things to come. This week has been filled with chaos and I'm glad that it's over. The only two good things that happened was that the sun was actual still up for about 25-35 minutes after work last night, the first sign of things slowly starting to get warm again and tonight I have plans to go eat at the Hayloft Restaurant http://thehayloftrestaurant.com/ in Wells, Maine. Been planning on it since midweek and really looking forward to it. Nice food, few drinks and a night out with my lady. The perfect way to start of the weekend and put this week behind me.

I knew he looked familiar...

Here is a picture of President Obama I got back in April of '07. He was at my work having a round table discussing with the local folks about health care. I had a chance to shake his hand a wish him luck. This was just as the Primaries were getting going. After today I will hold that day with a higher appreciation... Hopefully things will "Change"

Love a fresh Snowfall

Just a few tress next to my Office. I always thought a fresh snowfall looked cool. Like how the sun is hitting off the trees here.

Lunch-time Entertainment...

T.G.I.F.

Final Friday is among us. Can't wait for the weekend just going to sit around, relax, play some Wii and watch a little Play-off Football. Planning on spending most my time inside. When I went to start my car this morning for work the temperature was -15 on the Thermometer nailed to the tree in my yard. Don't know how well you can read it, here is a picture that I took with my phone. Don't know how many times I'll see the needle point that far to the left... Hopefully not too many.

Winter Sucks....

I am getting so fed up with the cold! The crappy thing is that we still have a couple of months to go before things start to warm up around here. I often ask my self is it worth staying around here or should up and relocate to someplace where cold is not an option. I mean between today, yesterday and these next few days to come it's just down right painful being outside. I was just reading an article "10 ways to beat the winter blues" http://forums.seacoastonline.com/life_after?entry=13 and not one thing on the list seemed like a good option on things to do in the Winter. Besides work it seems all I do right now is sit inside and watch TV. Thank God I was able to find a Nintendo Wii. That little gem has been my saving grace this winter. It helps with the "Cabin Fever" but that's about it. The real negative of living at a Tourist Trap Beach Town, plenty to do in the Spring, Summer & Fall, but there ain't jack to do in the Winter. Unless your into packing in a car for a couple of hours and then paying a god awful amount of money to go be lifted to the top of a mountain to race down. I may be the crazy one for not wanting to do that, but being cold with a pretty good likelihood of falling a breaking something doesn't sound like a good time to me.
